Princess Lover – Episode 4

Summary
Teppei, Sylvie, and Charlotte are talking over at the social club when the topic turns towards Seika. Seika is actually a designer/supermodel for her own fashion line. Seika enters the room and reveals that she is inviting Nezu for an interview for a magazine that wants to write an article of Seika’s school life. When the time comes for Nezu to leave, he is stricken by a sickness that can only be described as lively. Teppei then decides to take Nezu’s place for the interview.
Teppei shows up at Seika’s fashion show and surprises her. The interview commences but it seems that Teppei’s lack of etiquette serves as a problem early on. Seika gives Teppei regular stomps on his feet to keep him in check. Now in a heated battle, the two trade blows with their feet under the table as the interview continues. Teppei then says how they are all impressed that Seika is able to be a student and run a fashion line. Seika now stomps on Teppei’s foot again, but this time from embarrassment.
During dinnertime, Teppei reveals that he found out why Seika hates him so much. It seems that Teppei’s grandmother had an affair with Seika’s grandfather and because of this, Teppei’s grandfather kicked his grandmother out of the house and cut all ties with the Houdou group. Teppei’s grandfather is also unwilling to sell Seika’s fashion line in Arima stores because of the grudge and hence Seika’s fury. To fix all of this, Teppei decided to become a director and approve Seika’s line in Arima stores.

Sorry for the late post, hospital checks really take time. So anyway two episodes is all for Seika? Unlike most people, I actually favor Seika’s character. Although I did think that her reason for hating the Arima group was valid, I feel as though taking it out on someone who had nothing to do with your problem isn’t right. The same can be said for Arima’s grandfather. He shouldn’t have taken it out on Seika but his decision of cutting ties with the Houdou group is justified, which was why I was slightly irritated when Seika said it was all Teppei’s grandfather’s fault. It wasn’t the grandfather’s fault at all, if anyone was to blame it would be the grandmother. No matter how lonely a person gets, if she really loved her husband she wouldn’t have cheated on him. People aren’t cats who will purr anyone who will feed them (which is why I like dogs better but that is besides the point). My policy is if they can do it once, they can do it again.
Assuming that Teppei’s grandfather had only one wife, it would mean that Teppei and Seika are distant relatives right? Since it would mean that their grandmothers are one and the same. Just thought I’d throw that out there.
So all in all despite my liking for Seika’s character, the arc was too short and didn’t really do much for me. Though I did like how the producers add comedy to the scenes. I can only hope that there is more to Seika’s story later.
